IBCT Trading Ltd continues to expand its Chinese operation, with the addition of an OEM high end guitar factory in southern China. Headed up by Dave Ingham, the ex production manager of Lowden and Avalon Guitars in Ireland, the new facility will offer clients design, technology, quality and product management, rarely seen in China.
Commenting on the expansion, CEO Iain Wilson stated: 'In China there are very few factories that can make really high end OEM guitars. Our management team has 15-20 years' experience in building $2000-$25,000 guitars. Dave Ingham (Production Manager) and our special team of UK and US design experts, offer a skill base that will allow our new strategic alliance to bring a fresh approach to OEM business. We understand what is required in worldwide markets and can produce instruments that are truly second to none.'
IBCT will display a number of the new solid top and all solid acoustics at Music China show (booth Hall E6 B15). These will be fitted with the latest Fishman OEM pick-ups, including the new Ion and Aero systems which are receiving great acclaim in the market.
